No. The pages always come out in their original order, and each page appears once. If you type 5, 1 you get page 1 followed by page 5, and typing 2, 2 gives you page 2 once. Numbers past the end are ignored. A range like 8-50 on a twenty-page file stops at page twenty, and 8- always runs to the last page. If nothing you typed matches a real page, the file is marked That range does not work and no output is made for it. Page numbering starts at 1, not 0, so the cover page of most documents is page 1.

Each page is saved under the original name plus a page number padded to at least two digits, so report.pdf becomes report-01.pdf, report-02.pdf and so on. That keeps them in the right order when your computer sorts them by name. All of them are packed into one zip called split-pdf.zip, which saves you from approving a separate download for every page.
