HEIC to JPG
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which plenty of websites and older programs refuse to open. This converts them to JPG on your own machine.

- No account
- No watermark

Your files
Nothing chosen yet.
Where your file goes
Nowhere. This page downloads a small program into your browser, and that program reads the file straight from your disk. The program comes from this site like any image or stylesheet — but your file only ever travels from your disk into your own browser tab.
Why this one
What you get that the big converters cannot offer.
Personal photos stay personal
Family photos are the last thing that should be sitting on someone else's server waiting to be deleted. Here they never leave your disk.
Whole albums at once
Select as many as you like. There is no count limit and no queue.
High quality JPG
Converted at a high quality setting, so the difference is not visible at normal viewing size.
Nothing to install
No app, no plug-in, no account. Open the page and drop the files in.
How to use it
Choose the .heic files you want to convert.
Wait a moment while each one is decoded.
Download them one at a time, or all together.
When people use it
A website will not accept your photo
Upload forms for jobs, visas and insurance often reject HEIC. Convert first and the upload goes through.
Sending photos to a Windows PC
Older Windows machines show HEIC as a blank icon. JPG opens everywhere.
Attaching photos to an email
Recipients on other phones and older mail clients may not be able to open HEIC at all.
Questions
Why will nothing open my HEIC files?
HEIC is Apple's format. It saves space, but many websites, Windows programs and older phones never added support. JPG is understood everywhere.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Personal photos are exactly the kind of file that should not be sent to a stranger's server, so this tool does not have one.
Will the photo lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so there is a small loss. The quality is set high enough that it is not visible in normal viewing.
Can I convert a whole batch?
Yes. Pick as many as you like — there is no count limit, only your computer's memory.
Does it keep the date and location?
No. The camera information is dropped during conversion. If you need it preserved, keep the original file too.
